Valentine’s Day is coming up, and we here at Freedom are going to give you advice for winning over your sweetheart through the things that we know the most about: body odor and scents.
Having certain scents on our bodies can evoke attraction in others, including our natural ones.
In mice, there’s pheromones that attract them to each other that have different immune system genes, aka Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC,) from their own. This is so when Mr. & Mrs. Mouse have teeny mice babies, those babies would have genes from both mom and dad, making them unstoppable against lots of illnesses.
So what does that have to do with you or the guy you are eyeing this February 14th? Well, not much before 1995. Nobody knew if the same thing could attract humans, nor if we could even be able to tell they did with our severely weak sense of smell.
Then came a Swiss zoologist, Claus Wedekind, who performed the ‘Wedekind experiment’ that’s been coined more commonly as: ‘The Sweaty T-shirt Study.” Gross.
Wedekind got together 49 gals and 44 guys to be the subjects of this experiment. He made the guys all wear the same T-shirt for 2 days straight. Then, he put those T-shirts into boxes with a small incision. The 49 women then came in and smelled the boxes, not knowing who was who.
Wouldn’t you know it? The ladies found the natural odor from certain men more appealing than others. Those scents were from men who had different MHC, or immunity from certain diseases/illnesses, that the girls in the study didn’t have.
So why on Earth would you pick something unnatural to go on your body and cover up that natural attractor? Freedom is all natural and won’t mess up your game. Make your natural body scent your wingman this Valentine’s Day (as long as you aren’t stinky!) Wear your Freedom responsibly.
