With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Freedom will be sharing the Freedom Survivor series. We will be highlighting inspiring women that have survived and preserved through their diagnoses of breast cancer. These strong women have conquered the disease and are now advocates for finding a cure and living life to the fullest!
Follow their stories to see how they stayed positive through the most difficult times.
Our first Freedom Survivor is Bianca Muñiz, a New Yorker, avant-pop singer and 2-time cancer survivor. She was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 11. After 11 years of remission she received another diagnosis, but this time with breast cancer.
Instead of letting herself become defeated she fought through the disease and double mastectomy with meditation, exercise, reading, and most importantly her music.
Through all of this, she has learned to appreciate what she can and not take life too seriously. She wants to help inspire people to love themselves and accept everything that is happening in their lives no matter what it may be. Follow @bperformer as she uses her journey through cancer to help and inspire other women.
For the rest of October, we are offering a FREE TRAVEL MINI to every woman who has a mammogram scheduled or gotten one this year. Send a calendar event for a doctor's appointment, a selfie in your gown at the office, or get creative (PLEASE no personal medical information!) to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a code.
Getting people healthier one armpit at a time!!
